Following the celebrated reception to our first film, Shining Night, the three-part documentary series, In Search of the Great Song, is in development for general release.

The film series intends to inspire the remembrance of an underlying connection to the 'Great Song' (part one) while encouraging creative expression, exploring themes of singing (part two) and songmaking (part three).

In Search of the Great Song
In spoken word, sound and music this documentary explores and celebrates the universal current pulsing through all life. The question asked of people from different cultures and traditions– faith leaders, artists, scientists, philosophers, indigenous elders and others: "What is the Great Song for you?"(April, 2016)

highlights the universal potential of songmaking within all people, including children's voices, improvisational singing and the creative process of celebrated songwriters. (April, 2018)

Co-produced by Michael Stillwater and Doris Laesser Stillwater, each episode features a different aspect of expression around the theme of 'The Great Song'. The films include both known and unknown artists, teachers, scientists, elders and youth.
